"Gavin - A Tale of Two Cities (review)" Gig: Gavin - A Tale of Two Cities (review)    Reviewed: Mon, 9th Dec 2002 by Mark Rasmussen (Buzz Magazine) As appeared in Buzz Magazine - August 2000... Yet another band with a persons name and with a bit of luck and some hard work they should see themselves with the same success as their counterparts. Gavin is a band that strikes me as having "IT", something which gives them an edge. Their singer Gru has the ability to sound like Kelly Jones (Sterophonics) on Orange Slime and an early Daniel Johns (Silverchair) on Secret Things. I really enjoyed listening to this e.p. and hope that they will get noticed by a record company soon as Gru, Trav, Pete and Jason definitely have a worthy tale to tell. - ***** (five stars) Mark Rasmussen back to reviews...
